Assistant Coach Golf

Bridgewater College is seeking an enthusiastic and student-focused Assistant Golf Coach to support its NCAA Division III mens and womens golf programs. This part-time position reports to the Head Mens and Womens Golf Coach and offers an opportunity to help student-athletes succeed both on the course and in the classroom.

The successful candidate will assist with coaching recruiting player development and program operations while helping foster a positive competitive team culture that reflects the mission and values of Bridgewater College.

WHAT YOULL DO

• Assist with all aspects of the mens and womens golf programs
• Plan and conduct practices and provide instruction during training and competition
• Travel with the team to tournaments and assist with competition management
• Recruit prospective student-athletes who are a strong fit for Bridgewater College academically athletically and personally
• Mentor and support student-athletes in their academic athletic and personal development
• Assist with tournament operations community service initiatives and fundraising activities
• Help promote the golf programs through social media marketing and other outreach efforts
• Ensure compliance with NCAA Old Dominion Athletic Conference and College policies and regulations

WHAT YOULL BRING

• Bachelors degree preferred
• Previous coaching or competitive golf experience preferred
• Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with prospective and current student-athletes
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Valid drivers license and ability to meet the Colleges vehicle insurance requirements

GENERAL INFORMATION: Bridgewater College was founded in 1880 as a coeducational liberal arts college to serve the local community.
