Job Summary
Bridgewater College is seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Baseball Coach to join our NCAA Division III baseball program. This full-time position reports to the Head Baseball Coach and will have a primary focus on leading the pitching program while also contributing to recruiting player development game preparation and the overall success of the program.
We are looking for a coach who brings strong pitching knowledge a commitment to developing student-athletes and the ability to use data and technology to enhance player performance.
WHAT YOULL DO
Lead Pitching Development
- Oversee the pitching program as directed by the Head Coach.
- Plan and conduct pitching instruction practices and training sessions.
- Develop pitchers through individualized instruction performance analysis and video review.
- Use technology and data to evaluate performance and support player development.
Recruit & Develop Student-Athletes
- Recruit prospective student-athletes who are a strong fit academically athletically and personally for Bridgewater College.
- Build relationships with prospective student-athletes families coaches and baseball organizations.
- Mentor student-athletes and support their academic achievement leadership development and personal growth.
Support Team Success
- Assist with all aspects of the Division III baseball program.
- Coach during practices and games and contribute to game planning and preparation.
- Develop scouting reports statistics and video analysis to prepare for opponents.
- Assist with scheduling travel budgeting equipment ordering and inventory.
- Support field and facility maintenance fundraising community service and program events.
- Help promote the baseball program through social media marketing and branding initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with NCAA Old Dominion Athletic Conference and College policies and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Department.
WHAT YOULL BRING
- Bachelors degree required; masters degree preferred.
- Prior collegiate pitching coach experience and competitive collegiate pitching experience required.
- Strong knowledge of pitching development training mechanics and performance analysis.
- Ability to teach and communicate pitching concepts effectively to student-athletes.
- Strong recruiting communication organizational and relationship-building skills.
- Experience with Rapsodo Synergy AWRE and/or 6-4-3 preferred.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid drivers license and ability to meet the Colleges vehicle insurance requirements.
Pay is competitive and salary is commensurate with experience. This full-time position offers a full benefits package including paid tuition at the College for eligible dependents.
