Reporting to the Converting Manager the Asset Leader is ultimately responsible for ensuring assets are adequately maintained with necessary tools materials and supplies needed foroperation. This position will proactively coordinate and lead the manufacturing operations to ensure the achievement of department objectives for Safety Quality Delivery Cost& People.
Responsibilities
- Monitor measurement systems to ensure consistency between crews and assist in communicating Key Performance Indicators to the systems are developed monitored and sustained to deliver and improve operationalexcellence. Develop and drive implementation of site initiatives to support multi-year sitevision
- Coordinate maintenance and operational resources on a daily basis and for scheduled down days
- Develop a climate which encourages the participation and involvement of all employees to pursue continuous development and continuousimprovement. Coach develop & mentor Process Techs and ProcessEngineers. Support capability development and provide feedback for operatingteams
- Lead Manufacturing teams Maintenance teams Process Engineers Process Techs & Suppliers to evaluate and recommend upgrades and designimprovements. Lead teams through trouble-shooting exercises leading to process stability andimprovement
- Support Value Stream Manager and other site leaders in determining and directing long-range plans objectives and activities
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Engineering is preferred
5 years in an operations leadership role in a Consumer Packaged Goods processing facility
Strong coaching & mentoring skills with experience in leading change
Strong technical abilities
Excellent communication skills & comfortable in presenting to senior level audiences
Ability to influence with and without authority
Advanced systems aptitude and excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel
