Job Title: Assembly Technician

Pay Rate: $30-34/hr. on W2

Contract Duration: Start Date:10/26/2026
End Date: 01/31/2027

Job Summary:

• Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules boards panels drawers frames and cables.

• Works from diagrams and drawings makes initial layouts and uses hand and/or power tools jigs and saws.
• Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
• May disassemble modify rework reassemble and test experimental or prototype assemblies and sub-assemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
• Work with blueprints changes specifications work orders etc. to assemble and install to quality requirements parts and assemblies.
• Complete required data gathering transactions to facilitate assembly progression.
• Setup and perform all manual and automated assembly operations and portable machine functions required to accomplish assignments.
• Perform any and all required pickup rework fabrication change in corporation functional testing or check during or after final assembly and/or assembly progression
• Move and/or obtain correct parts materials tools assemblies.
• Use precision measuring instruments required to accomplish work assignments.
• Report and/or investigate job handicaps such as: errors in parts assembly procedures tools sequences etc.
• Perform routine minor machine maintenance as part of their daily work duties (e.g. where applicable replacing machine filters changing standard light bulbs on machines and equipment maintaining lubrication/coolant levels etc. as related to basic Total Preventative Maintenance duties).
• Routinely move products within the immediate manufacturing work area including across isle using shop assigned equipment as requiredand complete transactions necessary to move product to the next operation. On an exception basis move product to the next operation within a building.
• Support the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process by training coaching and assisting other employees.
• Document any discrepancies according to specification process and procedure.
• Trains to become MVP qualified.
• In addition each employee may be asked on occasion to complete other duties and responsibilities as required by leadership. Training and certification will be provided for the additional work when required.

TIER 1: 2-4 years of experience

Required:

• Knowledge of station safety quality (clean as you go / Foreign Object Debris) and OSHA regulations
• Must have basic skills of using a variety of tools
• Communication Skills:

Required

• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to articulate complex issues to others.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters is essential.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in interpersonal skills.

Preferred

• Technical Systems Proficiency:
• Able to enter generate and retrieve information using a computer (SAP and Excel knowledge required)

Required

• 2 years minimum experience in aviation production or equivalent
• Previous experience with drilling tools templates drilling machines fasteners and torquing tools
• Must be able and willing to work any shift to include working overtime as needed

Preferred

• 5 years minimum experience in aviation production

Required

• High School Diploma/GED or WorkKeys Assessment completion
• The ability to successfully complete the following training provided after recruitment:

• Quality Training

Preferred

• Training from a vocational school or previous employer in the use of application tools and in application techniques
