JOB DESCRIPTION:
- This position tends to special-purpose loading and unloading materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned)
- Move and/or assist in moving material needed in production machines in an assigned production area.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of material in an assigned production area
- Transports material from one production area to another by pushing/pulling a cart
- Assist in lifting and moving heavy loads as required
- Assemble glass packs as required by the production area
- Operate equipment to assist in the production process
- Assemble materials as required by the production area
- Inspect finished product for defects to ensure that quality standards are met
- Ensures work area is maintained in an orderly and safe manner per company procedures.
- Other duties may be assigned by the management team.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- H.S. diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
- Preferred experience in a production setting or in a similar role in a manufacturing environment or equivalent experience in similar roles in a manufacturing environment. Experience in glass manufacturing desired
- Certificates Licenses
Computer Skills:
- Basic PC skills
Mathematical Abilities:
- Basic Math--Ability to read a tape measure and understand fractions and decimals.
Analytical or Reasoning Abilities:
- Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions
- Communication Skills: (Writing Foreign Language Reasoning) Effective communication skills written and oral in English and Spanish (preferred)
- Other Skills (Technical or Other special knowledge and abilities) Team-oriented individual flexible and adaptable to a continuous improvement environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time up to 10 hours/day to walk up to 10 hours/day and/or sit for up to 30-60 minutes/day twisting or bending up to 10 hours/day overhead work up to 10 hours as needed per production area.
- Ability to lift/pull/push 50 lbs. up to 50 % of the shift.
