KMT Waterjet Inc. a Shape Technologies Group Company is seeking an Assembler to join our production this role you play a vital role in our manufacturing process by assembling waterjet components including valves hydraulic cylinders pumps and completed units ensuring precision and quality. You will report to the Assembly Supervisor and collaborate closely with other departments to maintain seamless operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude but are not limited to the following:
- Interpret blueprints and/or assembly instructions to accurately position and assemble waterjet components.
- Utilize various tools and equipment to fasten parts together securely ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
- Conduct thorough testing and inspection of assembled waterjet systems to verify functionality and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient assembly processes.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance assembly procedures and product quality.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a keen sense of urgency.
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods.
- Must have good eyesight including depth perception peripheral vision and the ability to differentiate between colors.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Technical training or coursework in manufacturing mechanical assembly or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in an assembly or manufacturing role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints is advantageous.
While performing the duties of this job the employee must be Capable of standing for extended periods (8 hours per shift). Ability to lift carry and move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Flexibility to engage in physical tasks such as pushing pulling reaching bending and twisting.
