Asphalt Screed Operator

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following;

• Perform daily equipment inspections
• Perform work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions or behaviors
• Controls material taken into paver and the depth of material being distributed through the paver and smoothness of mat
• Ability to communicate with supervisor and testing technician if there are issues with laydown operations
• Position is expected to assist in operating other pieces of paving equipment including asphalt rollers power brooms skid steer loaders and loaders as needed
• Must be willing to work flexible shifts that include days nights and weekends as needed
• Must be willing to do physical labor
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor

Minimum Qualifications;

• Must be willing to work in all weather conditions
• Valid drivers license but a CDL is a preferred
• Must pass a pre employment drug screening and background
• Job requires steady to intermittent physical activity including; standing stooping kneeling climbing walking on uneven ground shoveling and raking
