Learn more: As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents and respond to security-related concerns. This driving post requires an armed guard card/license and a valid drivers license. Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff visitors and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a government correctional environment.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities grounds access points and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions unauthorized activity and/or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm professional problem-solving manner following site procedures and coordinating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders.
• Monitor access to assigned areas verify authorization as required and document visitor activity incidents observations and/or shift information in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain professional readiness and comply with applicable laws licensing requirements armed post procedures and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
