Job Description
Overall Job Summary: The Area Director (AD) is responsible for reaching the Sales and Profit goals in the assigned Area by creating a cross-functional plan to deliver the Best Customer Experience.
The AD is dedicated to building exceptional teams and supporting their ongoing professional development. They work with succession planning talent and leadership development and structured performance management for Branch Managers based on results values and leadership.
The AD oversees all lines of business across multiple mid-sized branch locations. Additionally the AD supports the Regional Vice President of Operations in achieving both short-term and long-term business and financial objectives for the designated market. This role guides Branch/General Managers Cash Logistics Managers and Route Leaders in operations finance HR safety logistics and security. The AD will have a blend of functional operations and business development responsibilities. This position functions in an armed environment. This role involves enforcing rules to safeguard Brinks property and premises its customers assets and the safety of everyone on site.
This role offers the flexibility to work remotely; however you must reside within the designated area for the position.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide strategic and operational leadership to effectively organize market logistics drive execution discipline and develop a high-performing product-driven organization across all service lines.
Ensure market excellence by delivering safe efficient and high-quality operations that position Brinks as the highest-value provider of Cash-in-Transit ATM Coin Currency Check and CompuSafe services within the market.
Own customer performance and relationships by partnering with Branch and leadership to ensure service delivery issue resolution contract compliance and continuous improvement aligned to customer expectations.
Proactively manage risk and loss prevention ensuring consistent execution of safety security and compliance standards to reduce workers compensation claims prevent security losses and protect employees customers and company assets.
Lead coach and develop Branch Managers Cash Logistics Managers and Route Logistics Leaders with a strong focus on performance management succession planning engagement and accountability.
Serve as the primary operational liaison between market leadership and corporate partners (Operations IT Finance Legal HR Risk and Security) to ensure alignment clear communication and effective execution of enterprise initiatives.
Drive financial and operational results by holding leaders accountable for achieving short- and long-term business objectives productivity targets service metrics and budget commitments.
Establish and sustain a culture of accountability and engagement fostering positive employee relations consistent leadership behaviors and a work environment aligned with Brinks values and operational standards.
Travel regularly within the assigned market (approximately 4070%) to maintain strong field presence operational visibility and direct leadership engagement.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years operations experience
Minimum of 5 years management experience
Minimum of 3 years business development experience
Minimum of 2 years experience managing profit & loss and key performance indicators
A valid fire arms permit or ability to pass applicable firearms licensing requirements
A valid guard card or ability obtain a guard card or any other required licenses
Must be 21 years of age
Preferred Qualifications:
Banking industry experience
Money processing management experience
Large market experience
Working knowledge of Lean/Process Improvement methodologies
Bachelors degree
