Job Summary
The Production Control Clerk will comply with all applicable safety and environmental regulations local safety policies and KBRs Zero Harm program. The Production Control Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to the Care of Stock in Storage (COSIS) maintenance operation under the guidance of the Production Control Supervisor. This position supports production control functions for the Mobile Brigade Combat Team (MBCT) maintenance mission across the Heavy Wheeled Vehicle Light Wheeled Vehicle Generator/GSE and Artillery maintenance sections on the APS-4 program.
Production control support includes but is not limited to: creating and maintaining work orders and job cards; tracking equipment status and maintenance backlog; requisitioning and reconciling repair parts; and maintaining equipment historical and technical publication records. The clerk assists section supervisors with scheduling dispatch and reporting to support maintenance production goals.
Detailed duties include entering and updating maintenance data in automated logistics systems; preparing production control reports and readiness metrics; coordinating with supply and logistics personnel to resolve parts shortages and delays; filing and maintaining equipment technical publications density lists and historical records; and supporting quality control and customer deliverable documentation. Performs other duties as assigned.
Please note: This position is located in Camp Carroll Korea and is contingent on award.
Roles and Responsibilities
Create track and update work orders job cards and equipment maintenance records within the maintenance management system (e.g. GCSS-Army/SAMS-E) for all MBCT maintenance sections.
Monitor and report equipment status maintenance backlog and parts requisition status; prepare daily weekly and monthly production control reports for management.
Requisition track and reconcile repair parts and shop supplies; coordinate with supply and logistics personnel to resolve parts shortages and delays.
Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound equipment flow dispatch and shop workload in coordination with section supervisors.
Maintain accurate equipment density lists historical files and technical publication records for all vehicles generators/GSE and artillery systems on the APS-4 program.
Assist in the preparation of readiness reports quality control documentation and customer deliverables.
Utilize automated logistics and maintenance information systems to input update and retrieve equipment and maintenance data.
Coordinate with quality assurance safety and other administrative personnel to support overall shop production goals.
Comply with all applicable safety and environmental regulations local safety policies and KBRs Zero Harm program.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education Experience Skills and Certifications)
Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid U.S. Passport.
Ability to provide documentation to qualify as US EXPAT Invited Contractor Status and SOFA Visa IAW USFK 700-19 Regulation.
Possess a valid State Motor Vehicle Operator License.
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience. A minimum of 8 years of related experience in the logistics field.
In lieu of formal coursework a combination of college credits on-the-job training other formalized training or experience may be considered.
Ability to work from technical manuals maintenance work orders and standard operating procedures.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel Outlook) and standard office equipment.
Favorable adjudication of an NACI background check.
Ability to work with maintenance management/logistics automation systems (e.g. GCSS-Army SAMS-E or similar).
Must be able to work in an office environment as well as periodically in non-temperature-controlled shop and yard areas.
Strong organizational written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
Ability to lift 25 pounds to waist level as needed to handle files parts tags and shipping documentation.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced maintenance production environment.
Required to pass initial and periodic medical screening.
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education Experience Skills and Certifications)
Experience with GCSS-Army SAMS-E or other Army logistics/maintenance automation systems is preferred.
Associates degree or vocational certification in business administration logistics or a related field is preferred.
