Now Hiring: Animal Control Officer (Part-Time Per Diem)

The Town of Rochester is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Animal Control Officer.

This is a part-time per diem position. Compensation will be provided on a per-call basis. The Animal Control Officer will be responsible for responding to calls involving domestic animals enforcing applicable animal control laws and regulations and working collaboratively with the Rochester Police Department and other agencies as needed.

The position reports directly to the Chief of Police.

Qualified candidates should possess strong communication skills the ability to work independently and experience handling domestic animals. Certification as an Animal Control Officer is preferred or the ability to obtain certification within a reasonable period of employment.
