Job Title: Analytics Consultant x 2

LOCAL to Ft. Worth TX hybrid

Communication is key for these roles

Financial industry exp is a must - banking a big plus

Will get a feel for what business analytics needs there are turn around and create visualizations out of that

Keys are translating information into some kind of visualization (listening skills are important)

Will be working with Gavins team - his team can help them figure out where the data is

Must have strong sql skills - querying up against a sql repo and possibly others - bank has multiple databases

Not creating tables so sql joins clauses summations aggregations - standard set of SQL skills will suffice

Visualization tools - power bi excel (bank uses a lot of excel) MS Fabric is preferred but not required

Knowledge of data warehouse/star schema/snowflake schema is helpful

Cognos is not required but would move someone to the top of the list - same with JH banking apps or jack henry experience in general

Job Description

This position is dedicated to supporting the Banks reporting and analytics needs. The role enables enterprise decision-making by partnering with business leaders to identify analytics and reporting requirements develop data products and reporting solutions and deliver actionable insights. It also supports the advancement of analytics capabilities while ensuring alignment with enterprise data strategy governance standards and ongoing transformation initiatives to drive meaningful business value.

Duties & Responsibilities

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand analytic needs

Deliver tailored end-user solutions that influence enterprise decisions

Build partnership for ad-hoc analysis and data product development

Compose insights and provide business data interpretation into a relatable presentation/story dependent on scope and audience

Collaborate with Data Management to identify data gaps or need of data quality

Skills & Qualifications

Education

BABS required; MBA or MS or equivalent a plus

Certifications related to Analytics (e.g. Microsoft Fabric Power BI Alteryx Tableau) preferred; Power BI Data Analyst Certification or Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate will be required within 90 days if not already achieved

Required Qualifications

5 years of applied experience in analytics business analysis or comparable positions that handle large/complex data sets developing metrics and fostering business partner relationships

Proficient with visualization & data story telling using tools such PowerBI/Fabric (preferred) Cognos

Proficiency in SQL with knowledge of T-SQL and PL/SQL

Proficient in advanced excel techniques and model development

High communication skills are required to review analyze and evaluate user needs to effectively meet analysis requirements

Requires excellent analytical ability attention to detail and proven ability to work independently and in a team

Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and generate innovative solutions

Demonstrated understanding in conceptual and logical data design

Bank industry experience or Financial Institution experience

Familiarity with source control tools such as git
