The Analytical Laboratory Associate Supervisor works closely with the Analytical Supervisor to plan manage and supervise the Analytical Laboratory ensuring all test results are delivered accurately on time and in a cost-effective manner while maintaining proper safety standards.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (hours TBD)
Work Restrictions: Due to the nature of the work medical marijuana cards are not permitted and random drug testing is conducted.
Supervisory Responsibility: This role supervises a portion of the technical staff within the Analytical Laboratory.
Essential Functions
- Review all data and test results for accuracy completeness and compliance with SOPs
- Provide technical direction to internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure safety programs are implemented and enforced
- Review CAPA reports for adequacy before final approval
- Ensure team members are properly trained
- Perform managerial duties including scheduling hiring training performance evaluations and disciplinary actions
- Recommend process and policy improvements to management
- Escalate issues related to critical instruments systems or processes being out of specification
- Properly use and maintain required safety equipment (PPE)
- Adhere to all company safety standards policies and procedures
Requirements
Position Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Chemistry or related field (or equivalent)
- Minimum 4 years of industrial or academic experience
- Bachelors in Chemistry preferred
- 46 years of pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
