Position Summary


The Analyst Analytic Services is responsible for delivering data-driven insights and business intelligence that help healthcare clients make informed decisions regarding their pharmacy and healthcare strategies. This role combines analytical expertise business consulting and client engagement to identify solutions to complex business challenges and provide actionable recommendations.

Analysts work closely with both internal business partners and external clients leveraging healthcare and pharmacy benefit management (PBM) data to support strategic decision-making. The position offers exposure to multiple functional areas including sales clinical account management finance underwriting operations and product marketing.

Key Responsibilities


Analytics & Problem Solving

  • Analyze healthcare and pharmacy-related data to identify trends opportunities and business insights.
  • Translate business questions into data-driven analytical approaches and actionable solutions.
  • Develop meaningful conclusions and recommendations based on quantitative analysis.
  • Support client-specific projects and analyses to address strategic and operational business needs.
  • Maintain an understanding of healthcare industry trends PBM operations and organizational programs and services.

Client & Business Consulting


  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business objectives and analytical requirements.
  • Communicate analytical findings methodologies and recommendations to business leaders and clients.
  • Participate in client meetings presentations and discussions to support strategic healthcare initiatives.
  • Provide consultative support on PBM pricing strategies pharmacy networks specialty pharmacy rebates and administrative fee structures.
  • Assist clients in understanding and achieving financial and operational goals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration


  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across sales clinical account management finance underwriting operations network management trade and product marketing teams.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality analytical solutions and client deliverables.
  • Contribute to team knowledge sharing and collaborative problem-solving initiatives.

Project Management & Quality


  • Manage multiple assignments and shifting priorities while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ensure analytical outputs and client deliverables are accurate complete and delivered on time.
  • Support client presentations and contribute to the development of written reports and strategic recommendations.
  • Participate in occasional client-facing meetings both virtual and onsite as needed.

Required Qualifications


  • Minimum one year of experience in analytics business analysis or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience may be gained through professional educational or internship experience.
  • Background in one or more of the following disciplines:Data Analytics Statistics Mathematics Finance Economics Operational Analysis Epidemiology Marketing Research Accounting Other data-driven fields
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience extracting manipulating and analyzing large-scale datasets.
  • Proficiency with Dataiku Google Cloud SQL Python SAS or other statistical and database management tools.
  • Experience with advanced Excel modeling and financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of healthcare pharmaceuticals or pharmacy benefit management (PBM) operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to use analytics to solve complex business problems.
  • Strong presentation skills with experience communicating results to clients and leadership.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Masters degree or MBA in Data Analytics Finance Economics or another quantitative discipline is a plus.

Education

Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$43888.00 - $93574.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience education geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
