A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Financial Analyst 2
Position type: Full-time Contract
Duration: 08 Months
Location: San Antonio TX
As a Financial Analyst 2 you will:
- Prepare analyze and distribute various financial and statistical reports to include variance explanations utilizing cost tracing and root-cause analysis.
- Prepare schedules and supporting documents for annual external audit.
- Update department dashboards including calculating ratios and graphing trends.
- Monitor benchmarks and analyze variances to those benchmarks.
- Perform reconciliations to ensure accuracy of data.
- Evaluate and recommend policies and procedures that comply with accounting and financial regulatory bodies.
- Perform technical research and write position papers to ensure documentation of implemented policies and procedures.
- Prepare and update desktop procedures including flow charting and similar processes while assessing current processes and recommending process improvements.
- Supports process improvement initiatives in the areas of cost and margin enhancement risk mitigation and operational effectiveness.
- Provide a high degree of service to internal customers by responding to financial and operating questions.
- Perform other projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
- Knowledge of accounting/analyst experience in a field supporting and providing financial technical analytical and operational solutions.
- Relative experience in financial/project management for Operational Units.
- Ability to work in a variety of locations such as the field construction centers and the main office.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Package including word processing spreadsheets database presentation software electronic mail and scheduling.
- Masters degree or relevant Certification.
- Proficient in SAP PeopleSoft or Hyperion.
- Relative experience in supporting the electric or gas utility industry.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $40 to $43.16/hr.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidates education work experience work location specific job duties certifications etc.
