Job Summary

Jones Bros. Contractors LLC (Jones Bros.) is seeking a highly motivated Alternative Delivery Manager to join our Alternative Delivery team. This role is responsible for providing leadership and management across all phases of alternative delivery transportation projects from pursuit and preconstruction through design management and transition to construction execution.

The Alternative Delivery Manager will play a key role in business development teaming pursuit strategy proposal development and active contract and design management. Delivery methods include Construction Manager/General Contractor (CMGC) Design-Build (DB) Progressive Design-Build (PDB) and other alternative delivery models as applicable.

The ideal candidate will have a strong heavy civil transportation background excellent written and verbal communication skills the ability to manage multiple concurrent pursuits and projects and experience coordinating internal teams and external partners to deliver successful outcomes.

Duties & Responsibilities

Identify track and develop new alternative delivery opportunities through relationship building with new and existing clients

Participate in business development activities including client engagement market strategy and pursuit planning

Collaborate with legal financial marketing and technical teams to develop competitive pursuit strategies and winning proposals

Assist with the identification evaluation and selection of joint venture partners design consultants and key subcontractors

Participate in go/no-go decision-making for alternative delivery pursuits

Lead project-specific technical writing efforts for qualifications proposals and related submittals

Serve as the primary point of contact during the preconstruction and design phases on assigned projects

Lead and facilitate project meetings workshops design reviews and task forces

Coordinate and manage external partners including contractors and designers to support compliance with project requirements and contract obligations

Coordinate cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure an integrated project approach and organizational alignment

Lead project teams in developing technical solutions schedules cost estimates and budgets aligned with client goals

Support the growth and development of the Alternative Delivery team through participation in hiring onboarding and mentorship of team members including future direct reports.

Prepare accurate Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) packages and support a smooth handoff to operations teams for construction execution

Oversee the alternative delivery project lifecycle from pursuit through transition into construction

Represent Jones Bros. at public forums industry conferences and stakeholder meetings as required

Required Skills & Abilities

Ability to manage multiple concurrent pursuits projects and deliverables in a fast-paced environment

Advanced written visual and verbal communication skills including the ability to develop customized technical content with clarity and a customer focus

Strong leadership negotiation and interpersonal skills

High attention to detail and consistency in work product

Demonstrated understanding of alternative delivery procurement processes transportation funding mechanisms and regulatory frameworks

Experience with joint venture agreements and design services agreements

Proven experience delivering large-scale highway rail or bridge projects

Working knowledge of scheduling estimating project controls and project management software

Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in project management construction management or alternative delivery project roles; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered

Experience developing win strategies pricing approaches and project schedules

Experience in technical writing for qualifications and proposals

Professional Engineer (PE) and/or DBIA certification preferred

Valid drivers license

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This is a full-time in-office position based at the Jones Bros. Mt. Juliet TN office Mon through Fri

This is a full-time in-office role; however Jones Bros. offers flexibility in daily work schedules while working onsite.

Occasional travel to jobsites meetings conferences and industry events (approximately 510%)

Ability to stand for extended periods at conferences trade shows or career events

Ability to traverse uneven terrain during occasional jobsite visits

Flexibility to support occasional weekend work evening meetings and client-facing events as needed with or without reasonable accommodation
