Will operate various autopsy and laboratoryequipment such as autopsy saw camera processors cryostats computers and dictation Assistant - PA(ASCP) certified Special Procedures/Unit Details : Perform post mortem examinations or assist in autopsy procedures by making & closing incisions eviscerating organs andspecimen collection under pathologist direction. Responsible to release bodies from the morgue during regular laboratory Process surgical specimens including proper labeling fixation and decalcification per established protocols; perform FNAand Bone Marrow specimen preparation procedures; collect samples for specialized studies research toxicology andmicrobiology assays. Independently perform simple and complex dissection with appropriate dictation based on department guidelines. Prepare frozen sections including cryostat microtomy staining coverslipping and labeling. Maintain autopsy and surgical tissue storage and disposal. Special Equipment : - #Tier2 Travel Compliance RTO: Max 1 week. Full-week RTO requires making up missed shifts or assignment may be extended. No RTO after initial offer. Unmade shifts may result in system-wide DNR. Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend/holiday required. One holiday guaranteed (list preference on RTO); second based on facility need. Submissions: Only 1 Childrens National location per traveler. Cannot be submitted by multiple agencies. Licensure: Active state license required at submission. DC applicants must apply within 24 48 hours of signing; pending accepted with application date proof/pending license # but active license required before start.
