Job Description:
Under the general supervision performs skilled installation repair and preventative maintenance on air conditioning refrigeration and heating equipment. Perform other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent GED
One (1) year training (12 months) and/or experience in heating and air conditioning technology under the supervision or journeyman trade worker or equivalent.
Maintain a valid drivers license and must be insurable under UT driving policies..
Ability to use math read and write common vocabulary understand manuals and verbal instructions (technical in nature).
Knowledge of HVAC/R systems ability to read and understand electrical wiring schematics.
Ability to use hand and power tools as they relate to HVAC/R and maintenance.
Ability to apply principles to solve a variety of everyday practical problems.
Work well with hands and with close tolerances.
Demonstrates ability to follow blueprints or shop drawings.
