This position is for approximately 20 hours per week. The successful applicant will be working at both Juniper Ridge Middle School and North Cache Middle School.
The Aide Motor supports students with physical and motor disabilities by assisting with mobility positioning therapeutic activities classroom participation and implementation of individualized educational and therapeutic plans under the supervision of instructional and related service staff.
Assist students with mobility positioning transfers and physical access to instructional activities.
Support implementation of therapeutic activities and motor development programs as directed by physical therapists occupational therapists and instructional staff.
Assist students in participating in classroom school and community-based activities.
Monitor student safety during mobility and therapeutic activities.
Provide assistance with personal care and daily living activities as required.
Maintain adaptive equipment instructional materials and records related to student support services.
Observe and document student participation and progress and communicate information to appropriate staff.
Assist in adapting classroom activities and materials to accommodate student physical needs.
Attend meetings and training sessions related to student services and motor support programs.
Follow health safety and lifting procedures when assisting students.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Works under direct supervision using standardized procedures to support student mobility physical access and participation in educational activities.
Work is performed primarily in classroom and school settings and may require lifting transferring positioning and physically assisting students with mobility and daily living activities.
Job-related experience is desired.
High school diploma or equivalent.
