Aide SPED Resource (Mild/Moderate)

This position is for approximately 20 hours per week.

Position Overview

The Aide SPED Resource supports instructional programs for students with mild to moderate disabilities by assisting with instruction implementing IEP goals monitoring student behavior and supporting teachers in maintaining a safe learning environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Adapt classroom activities and materials to reinforce instructional objectives.
  • Assist medically fragile or disabled students with personal care and health needs.
  • Implement behavioral or instructional plans developed by IEP teams.
  • Provide individual and small group instructional support.
  • Monitor students during classroom and school activities.
  • Maintain instructional materials and student records.
  • Communicate with teachers and support staff regarding student progress.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions related to student support.
  • Respond to emergency situations involving students.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience

Job-related experience is desired.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent.
