Job Summary
AsaLeadDevOps Engineerreporting to theAVP Systems and Network Administrationyoullplay a critical role in building andoperatingintelligent automation platforms AI agents and orchestration frameworks that support mission-critical systems engineering workflows and operational tooling across Nasdaq.

Key Responsibilities
Design buildoperate and continuously improve AI agents that automate operational engineering and support workflows.
Develop agent orchestration frameworks using large language models (LLMs) tool integrations structured workflows and workflow-based automation patterns.
Build andmaintainautomation pipelines that combine AI reasoning and decision-making with deterministic systems controls and operational processes.
ImplementPython-based services supporting AI agent execution control and integration with internal platforms including APIs ITSM systems CI/CD pipelines and observability tools.
Design and evolve CI/CD pipelines for AI-enabled services and automation platforms.
Serve as an escalation point for complex AI and automation issues whileidentifyingopportunities to improve reliability and reduce manual effort through agentic automation.
Document architectures and workflows research emerging AI technologies and develop proofs of concept to evaluate new capabilities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
Expert-level Python development experience with strong knowledge of automation and orchestration frameworks.
Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines working with Git and integrating systems through REST APIs.
Proficiencyin YAML and JSON.
Experience building AI agents autonomous systems or AI-driven automation solutions with familiarity with LLMs prompt engineering and tool-calling frameworks.
Experience combining AI decision logic with deterministic automation and designing event-driven workflow-based systems.
Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently in ambiguous environments and collaborate effectively across global teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Terraform infrastructure-as-code practices Ansible or other configuration management tools.
Experience with AWS cloud technologies and/or AWS professional certifications would be considered an asset.
Experience with JavaScript databases and modern application development technologies.
Experience working within financial services fintech or other regulated industries.
This position willbe located inNew YorkCity Philadelphia Atlanta or Denver andoffers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office subject to change providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.

The base pay range for this role is $139000 - $243000. In addition to base salary Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive) and equity (long-term incentive) comprehensive benefits and opportunity for growth.
