Job Summary

AsaLeadDevOps Engineerreporting to theAVP Systems and Network Administrationyoullplay a critical role in building andoperatingintelligent automation platforms AI agents and orchestration frameworks that support mission-critical systems engineering workflows and operational tooling across Nasdaq.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design buildoperate and continuously improve AI agents that automate operational engineering and support workflows.

  • Develop agent orchestration frameworks using large language models (LLMs) tool integrations structured workflows and workflow-based automation patterns.

  • Build andmaintainautomation pipelines that combine AI reasoning and decision-making with deterministic systems controls and operational processes.

  • ImplementPython-based services supporting AI agent execution control and integration with internal platforms including APIs ITSM systems CI/CD pipelines and observability tools.

  • Design and evolve CI/CD pipelines for AI-enabled services and automation platforms.

  • Serve as an escalation point for complex AI and automation issues whileidentifyingopportunities to improve reliability and reduce manual effort through agentic automation.

  • Document architectures and workflows research emerging AI technologies and develop proofs of concept to evaluate new capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

  • Expert-level Python development experience with strong knowledge of automation and orchestration frameworks.

  • Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines working with Git and integrating systems through REST APIs.

  • Proficiencyin YAML and JSON.

  • Experience building AI agents autonomous systems or AI-driven automation solutions with familiarity with LLMs prompt engineering and tool-calling frameworks.

  • Experience combining AI decision logic with deterministic automation and designing event-driven workflow-based systems.

  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently in ambiguous environments and collaborate effectively across global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Terraform infrastructure-as-code practices Ansible or other configuration management tools.

  • Experience with AWS cloud technologies and/or AWS professional certifications would be considered an asset.

  • Experience with JavaScript databases and modern application development technologies.

  • Experience working within financial services fintech or other regulated industries.

This position willbe located inNew YorkCity Philadelphia Atlanta or Denver andoffers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office subject to change providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.

The base pay range for this role is $139000 - $243000. In addition to base salary Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive) and equity (long-term incentive) comprehensive benefits and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate including but not limited to: skill set experience education/training business needs and market demands.
