Aggregate Equipment Operator Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy equipment including loaders crushers screeners and haul trucks at aggregate production sites.
  • Feed raw material into crushing and screening equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor material flow adjust machine settings and ensure final product meets quality standards.
  • Perform pre-shift inspections routine equipment maintenance and report mechanical issues.
  • Work in close coordination with plant supervisors truck drivers and ground personnel.
  • Follow strict safety protocols company policies and environmental regulations.
  • Assist with general labor tasks such as shoveling cleanup and equipment adjustments as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment preferably in an aggregate or mining environment.
  • Familiarity with loaders crushers or screeners preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
  • Commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a production team.
  • Valid drivers license required; equipment certifications are a plus.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical & Mental Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks.
  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather and dusty conditions.
  • Long periods of standing walking climbing on equipment and operating machinery.
  • Ability to navigate tight areas
  • Requires strong focus and situational awareness in high-noise high-traffic environments.
  • Rapid emergency egress
  • Climb ladders
  • Sit for extended periods of time
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs.
