POSITION: After School Math Tutors @ Thompson Middle School

LOCATION: TMS

REPORTS TO: TMS Admin

SCHOOL YEAR: 2026-2027

JOB DESCRIPTION:

EDUCATION TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:

• Present employment at Thompson Middle School
• Availability to tutor after school hours
• Math certification or ability to support math instruction preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to perform the responsibilities listed below as evidenced by previous

experience and the interview process.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Regularly connects with students (via phone or meet) who are assigned to them.
• Collaborate with Teaching Staff on assignments and content to be facilitated with students

during the Tutor session.

• Create plans and strategic approaches with students to complete assignments and understand content.
• Track student progress with work completion.
• Report student progress to supporting teaching staff.
• Report student progress to the Guidance Counselor and cluster.
• Report student progress to MTSS Coordinator
• Attend three after school meetings:

• Performs any other duties stipulated by the TMS Administration.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: $45/ hour
