ABOUT BREAKTHROUGH SUMMERBRIDGE

Founded in 1978 at San Francisco University High School Breakthrough Summerbridge (BTSB) is an intensive year round academic enrichment and advocacy program. Through our middle school programming we prepare ambitious students from under-resourced circumstances to enter and thrive in well-matched high schools for the purpose of securing admission to succeeding in and graduating from college. More recently we have expanded our programming through the creation of our high school (9th-12th grade) College Access Program (CAP) to support BTSB students who have successfully completed our middle school program. CAP broadens access to information and resources regarding college admissions by working directly with students and families as a resource for college preparedness and admissions.
