Position Highlights

Position Summary:

Education:

• Certified Physician Assistant - Graduate from a masters-level PA program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
• Certified Nurse Practitioner - Masters degree required. Graduate of an accredited CNP program required.

Experience:

• Certified Physician Assistant - Minimum of 2 years of experience required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospital inpatient cardiology ICU or critical care preferred.
• Certified Nurse Practitioner - Minimum of 1 year CNP experience or minimum of 2 years of RN experience in hospital inpatient cardiology ICU or critical care required.

Licensure/Certification:

• Certified Physician Assistant - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) upon hire.
• Federal Drug Enforcement Admin - US Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Admin State and federal based on state practice upon hire.
• Certified Physician Assistant - Licensing Board Must be licensed and qualified to practice in the state based on job assignment upon hire.
• Certified Nurse Practitioner - current licensure/ certification as a CNP by the South Dakota Board of Nursing required.
• Current BLS and ACLS required CCRN preferred.
