Overview:

Sentara Community Care is hiring an Advanced Practice provider with strong PEDS experience to work the Mobile Unit in the Greater Hampton Roads area. (Recurring Mobile & Events)

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for the provision of health care services to individuals families and/or groups who receive their care under the auspices of Sentara. Health care services include conducting health assessments prescribing/providing treatments/interventions promoting health and providing disease prevention and management. Health care services are provided under the direction and supervision of assigned primary care physician (collaborative agreement). The Nurse Practitioner is expected to participate in quality assurance and improvement activities engage in team activities and use resources (human and material) appropriately.

Check out the Community Care team- patient hours per week may include evenings and weekends

Monday- Saturday - Rotating ( Hours may vary based on need)

Education

Masters Level Degree- Nurse Practitioner

Certification/Licensure

One of the following certifications qualifies:

Registered Nurse (RN) Multi State - Nursing License - North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON)

OR

Registered Nurse (RN) Single State - Nursing License - North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON)

OR

Registered Nurse (RN) Multi State - Nursing License - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)

OR

Registered Nurse (RN) Single State - Nursing License - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)

AND

One of the following certifications qualifies:

Advanced Practitioner Registered Nurse (APRN) - Nursing License - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)

OR

Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Nursing License - North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON)

BLS (Required)

ACLS (Preferred)

Experience

2-3 years of minimum NP experience required

Peds Experience Required
