Adult Education Instructor Corry Hi Ed

Position Summary:
The Northwest Tri-County IU5 Adult Education Program is seeking part-time Adult Education Instructors to provide individualized basic Language Arts math science and social studies instruction for GED Exam preparation or for entry into career or post-secondary education. Currently we have the need for an instructor to provide instruction at the Corry Higher Education Council in Corry PA working 8.5 hours per week.

Schedule will be as follows:

Tuesdays and Thursdays

8:00 am - 12:00 pm

8:00 - 9:00 will be Plan/Prep and Professional Development

9:00 - 11:30 - Class Instructional time (Hyflex)

11:30 - 12:00 Student Support

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited post-secondary institution or equivalent foreign credential

• Instructors that are teaching high school level mathematics must have a secondary math teaching certification or a bachelors degree or higher

Desired Qualifications:

• Current valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate preferred

• Teaching experience preferred

• Knowledge of Adult Education and College and Career Readiness Standards

• Experience working with ESL (English as a Second Language) students
