Position Summary

San Bruno Skilled Nursing is seeking a compassionate organized and customer-focused Admissions Assistant to join our this role you will serve as the first point of contact for prospective residents families hospitals and referral partners helping ensure a smooth and welcoming admissions experience. Working closely with the Admissions Coordinator and interdisciplinary teams you will play a key role in coordinating admissions maintaining compliance and supporting occupancy growth.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for prospective residents families hospitals and referral sources.
  • Coordinate and schedule admissions including pre-admission assessments and required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate resident records in compliance with federal state and facility regulations.
  • Assist with insurance verification prior authorizations and financial eligibility processes.
  • Conduct facility tours and provide information to prospective residents and families.
  • Collaborate with nursing social services and administrative departments to ensure seamless resident transitions.
  • Prepare admission packets and required documentation.
  • Follow up with hospitals physicians case managers and referral partners to obtain timely and complete information.
  • Support marketing community outreach and census development efforts as needed.


Qualifications

  • Previous experience in admissions healthcare skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.
  • Knowledge of Medicare Medicaid and insurance verification processes.
  • Strong communication customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.


Physical Requirements

  • Frequent sitting standing and walking.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
  • Regular use of a computer phone and office equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills.
