Position Overview:
The Admissions Assistant supports the Director of Admissions across the admissions process in efforts to increase awareness of and interest in The Parish School. This role serves as an important first point of contact for prospective families and professionals responding to inquiries providing admissions and program information collecting required admissions documents conducting school tours and maintaining accurate admissions files and records. The Admissions Assistant also helps develop and strengthen strategic relationships and community visibility to build awareness cultivate prospective family interest and support admissions goals. All responsibilities are carried out in a manner that consistently reflects and supports The Parish Schools mission and values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Respond to intake calls and emails within a 24-hour period
  • Collect all required documents from families for the admissions folder
  • Conduct group and individual campus tours
  • Prepare and maintain adequate supply of admissions forms and admissions folders
  • Enter select student and family information into the database
  • Update and maintain admissions calendar with regards to tours screenings visits school events
  • Maintain admissions data to track inquiries tours screenings visits and enrollment
  • Maintain spreadsheet on referral sources and coordinates thank you notes
  • Understand the schools mission and the students served
  • Partners with the Director of Admissions and Outreach Committee to identify and develop relationships with new schools organizations professional networks and referral sources that align with admissions priorities and target audiences.
  • Partners with the Director of Admissions and Outreach Committee to cultivate and steward relationships with existing community partners and referral sources to maintain awareness and encourage prospective family referrals.
  • Represent The Parish School and The Carruth Center in the community to increase brand awareness communicate program offerings and generate admissions interest.
  • Provides administrative support to Camp Acorn
  • Ensures a safe and secure environment for all staff and students and visitors by proactively monitoring facilities enforcing safety protocols and responding promptly to potential hazards or incidents including during all drills.

  • A strong passion for lifelong learning and a desire to continue professional development
Education/Experience Requirement:
  • College degree
  • One (1) year experience in a school or non-profit setting and experience with special education preferred
  • Worked with families of children with speech language learning differences (preferred).
Computer Skills:
Highly proficient in MS Office applications.
