Primary Purpose
Ensure a well-articulated and coordinated comprehensive career and technical education program. Provide effective leadership to campuses/districts/charter appropriateprofessional development and technicalassistanceto
campuses/districts/charter schools.

Education/Certification
- MastersDegree
- Administrative Certification
- Texas Teachers Certification

- Team-oriented attitude and desire to work collaboratively with ESC staff and campus/district/charter school personnel.
- Strong organizational communication public relations and interpersonal skills.
- Technology competency levels are comparable to those required by theState Boardof Educator Certification for all beginning teachers.
- In-depth knowledge of content (PreK-12) as related to assignment.
- In-depth understanding of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills the state assessment and accountability system and state & national initiatives and standards.
- Understanding differentiatedinstructionto ensure success for all students.
- Understand specially designed instruction includingaccommodationsand modifications to ensure success for students with disabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of career and technical education CTE Programsof Study Industry-Based Certifications Labor Market Information
- Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21stCenturyAct (Perkins V) and non-traditional careers and employment.
Experience
- A minimum of three years of successful teaching experience in Texas public schools.
- A minimum of three years of successful experience as a CTE teacher.
- A minimum of three years of successful experience as a CTE director or coordinator (Central Office experience preferred)
- Successful experience in program development.
- Successful experience in training teachers and other adults.
- Successful experience in an educational leadership position; experience in a supervisory position preferred.

**This position may be partially or completely funded using grant and/or federal monies and is assigned programs to include activities designed to enhance the effective and coordinated use of funds.
- Activelyparticipatein and/or provide leadership for inter-departmental teams to help improve student performance in the region improve the ESC internaloperations andmeet the established goals andobjectivesfor the ESC.
- Isresponsive as the first point of contact to all stakeholders in the education community.
- ActivelyassistLEAs with CCMR oversight programdevelopmentand data as it relates to funding and accountability.
- Serve as a line of communication andacquireinformation fromappropriate sourcesto collaborate with LEAs to enhance student achievement in College Career and Military Readiness.
- Assistinidentifyingemerging needs in LEAs andestablisha communication system for sharing information with ESC Region 11 staff.
- Actively collaborate with post-secondary industry The TexasWorkforce Commission and the community in relation to CCMR and CTE.
- Assistand support district leadership inidentifyingdistrict needs and providing information concerning ESC services and personnel that couldassistin responding to those needs.
- Analyze available needs assessment data from regional state and national sources.
- Participate in the collaborative development of a comprehensive plan fortraining products and services to meet regional needs including Comprehensive LocalNeeds Assessment.
- Develop quality training products and services reflecting scientifically based research national and state initiatives and campus/district/charter school needsin the area ofCTE.
- Develop quality training for teachers and administrators in curriculumcontent instructionalmethodologies and support structures for students with disabilities and studentsacquiringEnglish as a second language in integrated settings.
- Develop quality training to ensure that students with disabilitiesdemonstrateprogress in the grade-level Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) by using specially designed instructional strategies including the use of accommodations and modifications during instruction and assessment.
- Provide training products and services incorporating quality review multiple models of professional development andappropriate adultlearning strategiesin the area ofCTE.
- Model effective uses of technology in personal productivity and instructional applications.
- Provide technicalassistanceto campuses/districts/charter schools as needed as well asappropriate follow-upand follow-alongto training products and services providedin the area ofCTE.
- Evaluate the impact of training products and services on studentperformance programapplication and systems changesin the area ofCTE.
- Participate in designated local state and national professional development activities and share information with ESC staff andappropriate regionalpersonnel.
- Provide coaching and support at all scales around EAF and CCMR
- Provideindustry-aligned opportunities and resources
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for each program initiative to measure success and progress.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of each program initiative regularly conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses.
- Ensure that the performance management process is cyclical and iterative promoting continuous improvement.
- Provide feedback to program teams on their performance andidentifyareas for improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical:Occasional prolonged and irregular hours ability to move tables and chairs and load/unload boxes and use of a computer. Frequent region and state-wide travel.

Evaluation
Annual performance evaluation will be performedin accordance withthe adopted policies of the Education Service Center Region 11. Employment in this position is contingent upon performance need and funding.
