About the RoleThe Applications Systems Administrator I is responsible for the administration maintenance security and continuous improvement of the organizations IBM i (Power Systems) environment and associated enterprise applications. This role partners with IT leadership to support infrastructure strategy application lifecycle management system performance high availability and disaster recovery initiatives. The Applications Systems Administrator ensures the reliability scalability and security of core business systems while providing technical expertise for system upgrades implementations and operational You Will Make an ImpactIBMi Systems AdministrationMonitor maintain and optimize the performance availability and reliability of IBMi Power system resources performance tuning capacity planning and operational health to support business & Platform Management: Monitor application performance and resolve issues impacting system functionality or user and support Infor OS Infor LX and other business-critical enterprise Strategy & Lifecycle ManagementPartner with IT leadership to define hardware software and platform roadmaps that support business and execute hardware and software lifecycle activities including upgrades patches maintenance and system refresh and coordinate IBMi operating system upgrade planning testing and & ComplianceManage system access user accounts and security roles to ensure appropriate authorization and access maintain and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans for IBM i systems and associated applications. Coordinate disaster recovery exercises and validate recovery objectives and high-availability and replication technologies including QEDD to ensure system resilience and data & Technical SupportCollaborate with internal stakeholders vendors and cross-functional IT teams to support projects integrations and system EssentialsAssociates degree or Bachelors Degree in IT Computer Science or related field preferred.
