Administrative Support Coordinator Career Education

Job Summary

Reporting to the Associate Director for Career Education and Equity the Administrative Support Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the Career Education team and ensures alignment with university division and department policies and procedures while cultivating cooperative working relationships with a wide variety of contacts including university officials administrators faculty staff and students. This position provides comprehensive administrative support and coordination for the Career Education Team with responsibilities including operations; budget and personnel support; communication and implementation of policies and procedures; data entry and tracking related to various career education engagement projects; and coordinating first-year impact programming and projects in a busy office while supporting the Associate Director.

• Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures independently and use judgment and discretion to act when precedents do not exist; ability to communicate policy requirements clearly and effectively to students staff and campus partners.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot most office administration problems and respond to all inquiries and requests related to the work area; ability to understand problems from a broader perspective and anticipate the impact of decisions on other areas.
• Ability to analyze operational and procedural problems and develop recommend and evaluate proposed solutions; ability to apply ingenuity and independent judgment to resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Ability to take initiative exercise resourcefulness and independently follow through on job duties; ability to quickly adapt to changes in systems procedures and priorities while maintaining continuity of operations.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to speak and present information to groups and revise and produce written materials for promotions presentations workshops and marketing purposes.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or its equivalent. Type 45 wpm. Five years of general office support or technical experience. (Training at a vocational school or full-time college education may be substituted for two years of the required experience on the basis of one year of college education for 6 months of experience).

Salary and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Range:$52404 - $66456 Per Year

Classification Range: $52404 - $76344 Per Year

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience skills knowledge abilities education licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. The Anticipated Hiring Range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Classification Range may be broader than what the University anticipates paying for this position based on internal equity budget and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
