This position is located at Directorate of Family and Morale Welfare and Recreation (DFMWR) Wheeler AAF Hawaii (Island of Oahu).

Duties
  • The work requires a substantive knowledge in order to provide guidance on numerous regulations and policies.
  • Accomplishes the clerical and administrative functions of the DFMWR HQ. Develops and implements procedures pertaining to files and other administrative activities.
  • Independently composes letters memoranda and responses to inquiries not of a technical nature. Reviews technical correspondence for grammatical accuracy punctuation format etc. and to ensure suspense dates are met.
  • Initiates and tracks all Purchase Requests via Government Purchase Card Program.

  • Reviews time and attendance cards and ensures that time and attendance is properly input for themselves. confirms schedule is inputted into the Epay.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.

  • Position requires routinely lift and carry items weighing up to 15 pounds.
  • Position requires to frequently move between building and work in different areas or facilities.
Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

Minimum Qualification Criteria:

  1. Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and requirements; various office skills; and the ability to apply such skills in a way that increases the effectiveness of others.
  2. Must have progressively responsible work experience that demonstrates the ability to perform in such capacity.
  3. Positions that have a typing requirement require that the incumbent type a minimum 40 words per minute
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Windows Word Excel and Power Point software.

High Qualification Criteria:
  1. Must have 3 years of administrative experience supporting a military government or non-profit organization at a senior level and
  2. Must have 2 years of NAF experience in multiple divisions (Business Recreation Child and Youth Services and/ or NAF Support) and
  3. Must have work experience utilizing AR 25-50 at the Directorate level and
  4. Must have demonstrated proficiency using NAF information systems (i.e. DCPDS AUTONOA) and experience as a Super User for Payroll (i.e. Blueforce/EPAY).

Allowances and Differentials
  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances cost of living (COLA) and differentials will be paid of 8.64% (Island if Oahu) contingent upon eligibility.
