Overview
MED Institute is seeking a Summer Intern for 8-10 weeks. The Administrative Intern will be responsible for providing customer service on the phone and at the front desk as well as administrative support to MED Institute personnel and projects. This is a paid Internship and the position is on-site in West Lafayette IN.
Responsibilities
- Answer the phone for two companies in a pleasant manner and direct calls;
- Greet guests and assist them in signing in to the visitor system;
- Accept and log deliveries;
- Keep breakroom stocked;
- Keep breakroom paper-mill and storage rooms organized;
- Maintain inventory of office and janitorial supplies;
- Coordinate facility needs with Facilities Administrator;
- Escort vendors through facility during scheduled service visits; and
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; current enrollment in college classes required
- Teachable positive attitude with a genuine willingness to learn and to help;
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills;
- Conscientious person with a good work ethic;
- Highly organized with attention to detail;
- Comfortable working in a team setting with multiple priorities and deadlines;
- Ability to present a professional and personable demeanor in interactions and work constructively with colleagues; and
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Teams word processing databases
