The Administrative Coordinator I for the School of Behavioral Sciences works under general supervision in the Department of Psychological Sciences office and provides administrative support for the unit and/or specialized activity including the exercise of discretion and independent judgment concerning matters of significance.
This is a full-time face-to-face in-office position located on Tarletons main campus in Stephenville Texas with work hours of Mon-Fri 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate which may include after-hours/late hours as needed. Serves as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).
Responsibilities
Participates in the planning and execution of administrative operations. May serve as the office manager. Monitors office procedures. Develops evaluates and ensures adherence to office procedures.
Assists department head and division directors with schedule building hiring ordering account management budgeting and other duties as assigned.
Reviews documents for supervisor. Attends meetings or committees on behalf of supervisor.
Analyzes requirements for projects or initiatives. Provides technical information regarding administrative procedures services or programs.
Applies and interprets and/or assists in implementing management policies or operating practices. Develops administrative and technical procedures. Researches interprets compiles and responds to inquiries about rules regulations policies and procedures. May monitor compliance with policies and procedures.
Performs special analyses and project summaries.
Coordinates travel arrangements and prepares itineraries. Coordinates meetings seminars and other special events and may provide on-site support.
Coordinates the maintenance of files records office supplies or equipment. Makes recommendations for process improvements administrative changes or new initiatives.
Hires trains and supervises student workers and support staff.
Minimum Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of related experience.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing spreadsheet database and presentation applications.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
Salary Range:
The target base annual salary range is $41000 up to $45357 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
