Job Summary
Under general supervision greets screens and directs central office visitors as appropriate; provides information and assistance; answers and routes telephone calls; and performs a variety of clerical and administrative support duties in accordance with established procedures and District policies.
Examples of Responsibilities:
- Receive screen and route incoming calls; operate school security system and provide assistance to visitors.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail.
- Assist in daily office needs.
- Perform light administrative support as needed for the Administrators Directors Coordinators and other staff within the central office.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduation with courses in office procedures and business practices; Associates degree in related field desirable; two years of progressively responsible office experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
SALARY/BENEFITS: Starting rate is $27.09/hour as listed in the Agreement between the Burlington School Committee and Burlington School Office Personnel within Group 1.
This is a full-time school year position 37.5 hours per week for 46 weeks per year and is eligible for full benefits.
