Compensation: Commensurate with salary range on the DCPS Salary Schedule for class code 7771

Hours Per Day: 8 hours/day

Contracted Days: 261 days/year

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Any combination equivalent to: high school diploma G.E.D. Certificate or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a G.E.D. as required by Kentucky law and three years of increasingly responsible secretarial and clerical experience.

Preferred:

Knowledge of MUNIS software

Knowledge Of:

Basic computer skills including use of mouse and keyboard to navigate computer e-mail and websites

Subject matter in area of assignment

Short and long-range planning techniques applicable to area of specialty

In-service materials subject matter and methods in area of specialty

Record-keeping techniques

Laws rules and regulations related to assigned activities

Policies and objectives of assigned program and activities

Technical aspects of field of specialty

Principles and techniques involved in payroll preparation monitoring and control

Practices and procedures of payroll record-keeping and filing

Current office practices procedures and equipment

Applicable sections of Kentucky Administrative Regulations and other applicable laws

Interpersonal skills using tact patience and courtesy

Communication skills including telephone technique and etiquette

Office organization rules regulations and programs related to personnel actions and function

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

Support District operations in maintenance department.

Essential Functions Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide administrative and clerical support to the maintenance department including but not limited to screening phone calls visitors and other inquiries as needed.

Works directly with Director of Facilities Maintenance Supervisor and Operations Supervisor daily to support the operations goals and projects of the department.

Assist with ordering purchasing receiving tracking and reconciling of equipment supplies and other materials for the maintenance department.

Perform clerical duties involving the processing of purchase orders pay apps and support of departmental operations with high degree of accuracy.

Input data and submit orders according to established procedures for Maintenance Team.

Coordinate with schools administrators contractors and other stakeholders at the direction of the maintenance director.

Prepare organize and maintain reports spreadsheets communication and other information.

Communicate with Maintenance staff and other stakeholders as necessary to provide exceptional customer service.

Assist with compliance documentation and records as required by the district state and applicable regulatory agencies.
