Job Summary
Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Administrative Business Partner Specialist to join our team and provide top-notch administrative support to the new Second VP Institutional Retirement Sales (IRS) & Distribution leader and our Second Vice President and CFO for this role you will support the growth in our Institutional Retirement Business coordinating sales and client meetings providing coordination of industry conferences and sponsorships and providing administrative support to our IRS Leadership Council members.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coordinate sales and marketing meetings for Second VP IRS Sales and Distribution leader. Includes communication and coordination with clients potential clients and intermediaries to plan meeting timing and logistics. Coordinates travel arrangements on behalf of leader in support of meeting travel as needed.
Provides administrative support for Securians presence at Retirement industry conferences. This includes coordinating sponsorships and partnering with marketing team on conference planning such as booth and marketing materials.
Coordinates leaders daily tasks and calendar. Gathers information for scheduling from a variety of sources and exercises judgement when approaching conflicting meetings. Suggests appropriate meeting times relative to other meetings and critical attendees. May act independently in determining priority/resolving conflicts.
Performs moderately complex administrative duties often requiring a higher level of confidentiality and considerable skill and knowledge of the organization policies and procedures.
Resolves routine and sometimes complex inquiries. Exercises moderate level of autonomy in troubleshooting issues as they arise.
May conduct research for senior leader(s) or senior individual contributor(s); compiles and summarizes information and provides recommendations.
Prepares meeting materials by editing and organizing agenda special reports presentations and meeting minutes with general direction from leader(s).
Subject matter expert on processes and procedures.
May coordinate events and functional projects in support of broader function needs.
Acts as liaison for technology and is often an early adopter. Identifies opportunities for the use of enhanced technology etc.
Qualifications:
Professionalism with demonstrated administrative support experience strong service orientation communication interpersonal and persuasive skills for effective interaction with various levels of people internally and externally.
Ability to take initiative with a strong sense of urgency assertiveness and willingness to accept a wide range of responsibilities.
Strong planning and organizational skills attention to detail and the ability to prioritize responsibilities and work independently. Ability to independently plan ahead work/tasks to keep senior management and projects on schedule despite numerous conflicting priorities and changes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to compose correspondence and other documentation.
Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion sound judgment and problem solving while working independently with critical confidential and time sensitive information.
