Job Summary:
The History Department at Saint Peters University invites applications for an adjunct faculty position to teach undergraduate courses in either premodern history or modern world history.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Teach one or more sections of premodern history (e.g. ancient medieval or early modern) or modern world history courses per term
Develop syllabi deliver lectures/discussions and assess student learning in accordance with departmental standards
Be available to support student learning through virtual meetings or office hours
Maintain accurate records of attendance and grades
Qualifications
Qualification Standards:
Masters degree (required) or Ph.D. (preferred) in History or a closely related discipline
Demonstrated content expertise in premodern history modern world history or both
Prior teaching experience at the college/university level preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
