Adjunct Lecturer - British Literature Position: Adjunct Lecturer - British Literature Department:English Language-Literature Classification: Part-time Non-benefit eligible Rate:$1400 per contact hour (with a terminal degree) and $1200 per contact hour (without a terminal degree). This compensation is per contact hour and is subject to change based on class size. Brief overview of duties:Teach British Literature I covering literature from the Anglo-Saxon era to the 18th century. The ideal candidate will have background teaching representative works from this time period (e.g. Beowulf Chaucer Shakespeare Milton Behn). The class will enroll a mix of English majors and non-majors fulfilling a general education requirement. Expected total enrollment of 30-40 students. Classes start Monday August 31 and conclude Friday December 11; final exam week runs December 14-18. Doctoral or Masters degree in relevant field and experience teaching literature required.
