Job Summary
Essential Functions
Provide instruction to students according to the objectives of each assigned course. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies in the classroom online hybrid or lab setting that are appropriate to individual student needs and may include but are not limited to lectures small groups demonstrations and computer-assisted instruction. May serve as a coordinator for a group of courses or be the lead instructor for a course or courses within the program. Develops and implements the course syllabus according to the program curriculum plan and SCC policies in cooperation with other faculty. Promote a Culture of Belonging Support and promote an environment of belonging where all students faculty members and college employees feel welcomed valued and empowered to contribute. Foster a community where each individual and their varied perspectives enrich the educational experience and create a safe and respectful environment. Support the Colleges policies and programming related to access fair employment and equal opportunities for all.
Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree in Surgical Technology from a CAAHEP -accredited program. Current Certified Surgical Technologist. Two (2) years of surgical scrubbing experience in the last five (5) years. Current member of the Association of Surgical Technologists. Maintains health requirements for clinical sites. Certified in CPR .
