The EOC is currently recruiting for the position of:
Position Title: Adjunct Instructor Patient Care Associate (PCA) Program EOC-ADJ-PCA F26

Position Summary:
The Patient Care Associate (PCA) Adjunct Instructor is responsible for providing classroom instruction. The instructor delivers New York State Department of Health-approved curriculum evaluates student performance maintains required records and collaborates with Albany Med Health System and EOC staff to ensure student success and employment readiness.
The instructor is committed to supporting the mission of the EOC by providing high-quality workforce development training that prepares students for employment in healthcare and related fields. The instructor creates an inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement retention completion and career advancement. The PCA program is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in healthcare settings.
Instruction and Curriculum Delivery
Prepare lesson plans instructional materials and classroom activities aligned with course objectives.
Provide instruction in areas including but not limited to:
o Interpersonal and communication skills
o Clinical and patient care skills
o Personal care and hygiene
o Nutrition and meal preparation
o Mental health and developmental disabilities
o Physical disabilities and restorative care
o Safety emergency response and injury prevention
o Documentation and reporting requirements
Incorporate technology and instructional best practices into classroom instruction.
Maintain a safe respectful and inclusive learning environment.
And other duties as assigned
Institutional Responsibilities
Attend faculty meetings professional development activities and institutional events.
Comply with all EOC Hudson Valley Community College SUNY and regulatory requirements.
Participate in student retention completion placement and follow-up efforts.
Collaborate effectively with faculty counselors coordinators and administrative staff.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree in nursing or related field from an accredited institution.
Current New York State healthcare credential appropriate to the discipline.
Minimum of five (5) years of healthcare experience.
Experience teaching training mentoring or supervising adult learners.
Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and instructional technology.
Ability to work effectively with diverse and underserved populations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or comparable healthcare credential.
Experience teaching in workforce development adult education higher education or vocational training programs.
Familiarity with New York State Department of Health training requirements.
Experience working with Educational Opportunity Programs or similar student populations.
The starting hourly rate for this position is $47.00.
