Adjunct Instructor

Position Summary:

The Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is seeking applications for a part-time instructor to teach courses during the Fall 2026 semester.

The position will run from August 2026 to December 2026. Compensation details will be discussed during the hiring process.

Applicants should submit a CV and a cover letter outlining the courses they are interested in teaching.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Instruction course preparation developing instructional materials and grading
• Providing weekly office hours to support students

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Commitment to excellence in teaching and student development
• Excellent communication (verbal/written) interpersonal skills and organizational skills
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook) Adobe Office 365 OneDrive and Zoom

Education and Experience:

• Possess an advanced degree or relevant experience in the field of instruction.

• Ideal candidates will have excellent subject knowledge teaching skill and prior experience working with students bound for graduate or professional schools.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Additional Information:

This part-time Adjunct Instructor position is based in Albany NY. The duties and responsibilities require consistent in-person collaboration and interaction with our community and all work is expected to be performed on-site. Additional details pertaining to this position will be discussed during the interview process.
