About Quinsigamond Community College:

Quinsigamond Community College (QCC) is a premier learning community recognized for teaching and learning excellence relevant and responsive programming student success and community outreach and impact. The College serves over 9500 full- and part-time day and evening students each year. It offers 112 associate degrees and certificates in Business Hospitality Management Engineering Information Technology Education Healthcare Human Services Criminal Justice Liberal Arts Mathematics Biotechnology Automotive Technology and General Studies. The College also offers a wide variety of non-credit courses workshops and corporate trainings through its Center for Workforce Development and Continuing Education as well as adult basic education and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes through its Adult Community Learning Center. Job Description:

General Statement

Instructors will teach course(s) within a specific discipline to a diverse student population. Responsibilities will include instructional preparation assessment of student performance and assistance to students.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides students with clinical instruction/supervision and reinforcement of clinical objectives within the clinical setting.
  • Determines students area/room rotation schedule and maintains appropriate clinical records.
  • Understands and supports program clinical objectives and evaluation system.
  • Evaluates students clinical competence and clinical progress in accordance with program timelines.
  • Provides counseling related to students clinical performance.
  • Maintains competency in the professional discipline instructional and evaluative techniques through continuing professional development and pursuit of scholarly activities.
  • Works collaboratively with clinical staff and program faculty.
  • Attends program faculty meetings as appropriate.
  • Provides supplemental instruction in the clinical or laboratory setting.
  • Actively support the teaching and learning process; working to create and support a student-centered environment.
Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • Current MA RT license & ARRT certification.
  • Equivalent of a minimum of two years full-time professional experience as a radiographer
  • Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Evidence of mentoring skills to students.
  • Demonstrated clinical proficiency as a radiographer.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS or BA degree.
  • Experience as clinical instructor for an accredited radiography program.
  • Experience with program curriculum/course development and assessment.
  • Experience with personnel supervision mentoring and evaluation methods.
  • Evidence of understanding of and appreciation for diversity and multi-culturalism.
  • Predisposed to work in a dynamic environment requiring flexibility adaptability and teamwork.
  • Strong evidence of passionate commitment to striving for excellence in working with students and in responding to opportunities that extend the Mission of the College.
