Job Summary
Position Summary:
The Adjunct Faculty role includes primary responsibility for providing quality instruction and maintaining a positive learning environment with an emphasis placed on teaching supporting and evaluating students. Assigned courses may be for face to face or online instruction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Delivering course content effectively in an online delivery mode using strong facilitation skills.
- Assessing and grading assignments with appropriate and timely responses support and feedback to students.
- Demonstrating the ability to connect theory and practice to careers in the fitness/clinical exercise physiology industry.
- Engage and interact with students on a regular basis in discussions emails announcements phone conversations online sessions
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Minimum of an earned Masters degree with 18 graduate credit hours in field appropriate to the teaching discipline from a regionally accredited college or university
- Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Exercise Science Exercise Physiology Kinesiology or a related graduate degree
- Commitment to collaborative & collegiate relationships
- Maintain confidential and sensitive information
- Knowledge of higher education regulations compliance and accrediting agencies
- Computer proficiency
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner and work effectively with faculty staff students and members of the professional community
- Excellent multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills and Characteristics:
- Previous teaching experience
