Adjunct Faculty Energy Technology

Major Responsibilities:

Candidates considered for adjunct positions under this postings must be able to provide instruction in person at theEvansville IN campus.

PROGRAM OPERATION:

• Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes.
• Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught to students and follows syllabus content and requirements.
• Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook.
• Submits requested information within established timelines.

STUDENTS:

• Is available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions/provide assistance.
• Deal with student concerns and if necessary consult with program coordinator to resolve issues.

INSTRUCTION:

• Meet all scheduled classes of contracted course(s). Use technology such as Blackboard Canva PowerPoint etc. as appropriate.
• In event of emergency absence notifies program/department chair.
• Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people styles and views. Promote same as an integral part of ones work.

Hiring Range:

• $45.00 per contact hour (approximately $2160 per 8-week course).

Work Hours:

• This role would teach classes running on Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00pm- 8:50pm starting in the August term.
• Adjunct Faculty positions typically begin at the start of semesters or the midpoint: January March August or October. Specific hours will depend on classes assigned but may include evenings.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Journeyperson line worker card
• At least five years of field experience.
• Possesses a baccalaureate degree or higher in technology engineering engineering technology or a baccalaureate degree or higher directly related to the programs discipline
• Must be available to teach in person on the Evansville IN campus

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience providing instruction at a post-secondary institute.
