A successful engineer joining the team will do much more than write code and triage problems. You will work with Amazons largest and most demanding customers to address specific needs across a full suite of services. You will dive deep into technical issues and work diligently to improve the customer experience. We are seeking highly motivated engineers who are focused on operational excellence and troubleshooting complex system operations have a good understanding of Linux and automation. We need engineers who understand how to both think big and simplify solutions to complex problems; all the while ensuring that our customers continue to have the best experience possible.

This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that after start the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

Key job responsibilities
- Build deploy and monitor AWS Relational and Aurora and Services within Amazon Dedicate Cloud (ADC) regions.
- Design deploy monitor and automate infrastructure tools and systems to provide a highly-available and resilient platform for our customers and our teams workloads.
- This position involves on-call responsibilities

A day in the life
On a typical day our engineers may dive deep to find the root cause of a customer issue investigate why a metric is trending in the wrong direction launch a new service or feature or discuss radical new approaches to automate operational processes. As a member of our team you will join a dedicated group of engineers who provide troubleshooting and operations support and innovate to automate operational tasks.

- Associates degree or Cloud or GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
- 3 years of industry work experience
- Current active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above

- Experience with AWS
- 1 years of support procedures and methodologies for production computing environments experience
- Experience automating routine tasks
- Experience working with high-availability distributed systems and services
- Experience with Linux
- Experience in troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Agile practices such as SCRUM Kanban or SAFe
- Knowledge of scripting languages (bash python etc.)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
