Pratt & Whitneys Mechanical Systems Externals and Nacelles (MSEN) organization is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Adaptive Engines Mechanical Systems Product Owner to join the Mechanical Systems Product Owner team supporting Adaptive Engines Mechanical this role you will own part-level Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) scope leading planning and execution to ensure the Scrum Team achieves overall component goals. You will collaborate directly with engineering management program management suppliers customers and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is customer-focused technically proficient an effective communicator and experienced in design manufacturing development and validation.
What You Will Do:
- Own part-level CIPT scope including planning communication risk management and execution of program requirements.
- Lead the Scrum Team in identifying managing and closing key technical risks and issues.
- Lead the Scrum Team through technical and program reviews and ensure deliverables remain aligned with program objectives.
- Manage Scrum Team schedules budgets technical metrics and business metrics to meet program requirements.
- Perform Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Control Account Manager (CAM) activities for assigned Scrum Team scope.
- Collaborate with customers System Integrated Product Teams (SIPTs) Integrated Program Management Teams (IPMTs) senior management suppliers and cross-functional organizations; provide technical support for engine validation builds and testing.
Travel Requirement: Up to 10% (Domestic).

- Develop a deeper understanding of aerospace engine design manufacturing development validation and testing.

- Strengthen your ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams across engineering program management suppliers customers and senior leadership.
- Develop advanced technical risk management and problem-solving skills while addressing complex engineering and customer challenges.
- Expand your knowledge of Agile/Scrum Continuous Improvement and aerospace program management practices while contributing to strategically important engine programs.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience. Relevant experience in one or more of the following industries: Manufacturing Military Logistics Aerospace or Aviation.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with experience in the aerospace or turbofan engine industry.
- Basic understanding of Pratt & Whitneys Leadership Operating Model (LOM) or a similar operating model.
- Agile project management experience including working knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence teams on strategic projects and initiatives with strong resourcefulness and problem-solving skills to address complex vendor- and customer-facing challenges.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement Lean CORE ACE or Six Sigma along with the ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using tools/systems such as Solumina SAP Teamcenter or similar applications.

Department/Segment Overview:
Mechanical Systems Externals & Nacelles (MSEN): The MSEN organization is responsible for the design development and in-service support of power transmission systems bearing compartment and rotor support design and analysis oil and thermal management systems engine externals packaging and architecture as well as nacelles for commercial and military engine models. Technical disciplines include Project Engineering Mechanical Design Structural Analysis Product Definition System Modeling Mechanical Design analysis for bearings gears and seals and fluid-thermal modeling of associated components and systems.

- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 107500 USD - 204500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
