Activities Guide IDepartment: ActivitiesReports to: Activities DirectorExempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt (Hourly)PRIMARY PURPOSEThe Activities Guide is the face of adventure and the primary architect of the guest experience responsible for providing high-level educational and safe outdoor experiences in a world-class environment. Guides lead a diverse range of activities including fly fishing shooting sports (gun ranges and archery) ropes course mountain biking hiking paintball and seasonal winter sports. The ideal candidate is a professional educator and outdoorsperson who balances technical expertise with unparalleled customer service. This role is essential in ensuring guests receive an experience consistent with the standards set for Forbes Five-Star properties and members of Relais & Chateaux. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProvide unparalleled professional instruction in specialized disciplines to ensure guests of all skill levels have a memorable and educational a warm professional welcome to all guests visiting the Rod & Gun monitor guest sign-ups and schedules via the Concierge Assistant every excursion by following specific guest notes celebrating special occasions and accommodating unique the Kids Program ensuring a fun engaging and safe environment for younger a fond farewell to all guests ensuring their needs have been met and equipment is properly the safety of guests and coworkers above all else; maintain a proactive safety-first comprehensive safety briefings to every guest before departing for any a thorough understanding of and strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for every activity all first aid materials and water supplies are constantly refreshed and ready for immediate all hazardous materials and equipment according to company safety protocols during closing guests with technical fittings including boots bikes waders and other specialized organizational excellence within the Rod & Gun Club and all activity staging daily and weekly schedules with precision and all closing duties including cleaning equipment and organizing facilities to ensure the department is show-ready for the following to long-term departmental goals and special projects such as trail building and maintenance when guided activities are not with coworkers across all departments to assist with day-to-day tasks and overall Ranch :Bachelors Degree preferred. Valid current drivers license experience in a similar capacity (luxury guiding outdoor education or high-end hospitality) is highly competency in several of the following: fly fishing shooting sports mountain biking ropes course or winter CPR/First Aid certification required. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with diverse groups of to stand sit walk and move continuously for the duration of a shift in various weather conditions and to lift and carry heavy equipment as required by specific activities (e.g. bikes waders archery equipment).Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings weekends nights and job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the position; it is not intended to be an exhaustive list of skills efforts duties responsibilities or working conditions associated with the position.
