ACSWs and AMFTs are encouraged to consider a full-time Clinician position with Liberty Healthcares forensic mental health program in San Diego County.

Program overview

Liberty Healthcares program operates within multiple San Diego County jail facilities and exclusively serves inmates who have been determined to be incompetent to stand trial due to mental illness.

The goal of the program is to provide rapid mental health services to people in need - so they may achieve improved behavioral health outcomes as quickly as possible.

Clinician job responsibilities

• Providing mental health services to clients one-to-one and in-person

• Performing psychosocial evaluations

• Providing cognitive-behavioral treatment psychoeducation and crisis intervention

• Documenting treatment and progress

• Participating in clinical team meetings

• Consulting and collaborating with clinical ancillary and security staff

Work setting

You will split time working onsite at these two jail facilities:

• The Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility at 451 Riverview Parkway in Santee CA 92071

• The Rock Mountain Detention Facility at 406 Alta Road in San Diego CA 92158 (nearby Otay Mesa)

Schedule

You will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Pay and benefits

• Starting pay between $72384 and $85000 (depending on accrued hours)

You should be willing and able to work onsite at both jail locations noted above.
